I am Rikus van Veldhuisen and I am an enthusiast succulent lover. As you will understand by now I have specialized in growing Euphorbias.

I started growing Cacti around 1980 on my bedroom windowsill. Over the years and moving twice to self-build greenhouses, the  Euphorbias have now taken over most of the space of my 50 square meter greenhouse. However some other plants than Euphorbia can be found here and there, mostly plants I kept for as long as 40 years.
Throughout the years I have written several articles on Euphorbias for Euphorbia World.

I have been to Africa several times, where I was able to find many Euphorbias in their natural habitat. I took many pictures and did meet several other enthusiasts, which inspired me to write more articles and even to intensify my hobby.

Some years ago I decided that it would be a good idea to create a website. The original website was made by my wife, but it needed to be updated. Finally this autumn I found a volunteer to build me a whole new website: Jasmijn van Veldhuisen, my daughter.
